Blogging Disaster!

Talk about major blogging disaster! This whole thing started with a school project Skyler had to make an account here and blah blah blah. We were so excited and couldn't wait to post just all the time and let everyone know what is going on in our lives and look at how well we're doing! It's been almost 2 months! Figures though, we're both busy with school and work and trying to catch up on sleep. I most definitely need to put pictures up... Technically I shouldn't be on here right now, I have 109 pages to read before Skyler gets home and my pace so far is about 30 pages an hour. The pages aren't even that big, just full of info and there's the vocab paper I have to fill out so I can actually pass my final and again blah blah blah.

I have been crocheting a lot the last couple of days.... it's been quite fun. I'm making headbands with flowers on them and today I made mittens :) They're pretty cute... oh and I made my brother a very attractive man thong. A little too much info? I feel the same. It's a long story and it's part of a joke we're playing on his unsuspecting sweet little girlfriend, I'll have to post a picture of that, I think I did pretty good at creating it seeing as I've never done anything like that, and barely know how to crochet.

In other news, my boss is selling the gas station, but no one knows, I accidentally found the contract while I was doing my paper work and it looks like 7-11 is going to take over and we're all going to fired or sold over to this new awful company. Joy. I'll be one of the lucky ones to be fired though, or "refuse a job offer" seeing as I only work Sundays as a cashier and I just started doing the accounting for the company. Gotta love it. Tax season is starting up and yours truly will start her third year as being a Tax Preparer and store manager, over well a big empty office where only I will dwell for about 10 hours a day for 6 days a week for a few months, again, gotta love it.

DIY Projects in the house

So today the wife and I both had the day off and decided to do a house project. This consisted of changing out of Kitchen light ...The only problem is that neither of us are really handy people and don't know much about electrical stuff but, never the less we venture into changing it out. The first task we thought, was hey it might be a good idea to kill the power to the kitchen, light....The problem was we had just recently bought the house and had no idea were the darn thing was:)..but we found it and that was no help because they had not marked the switches to anything so I stupidly just started switching off things till the light came off.

Man what a pain it is putting that thing in, I had the wife holding the light thing while I had was taking out the screws and for some reason it happened to be very hot all of a sudden in the kitchen like sauna hot in there and she is like my arms cant hold this anymore, I'm going to drop and I'm like hot and a little frustrated with this thing and It was only a couple minutes and I'm like this three pound light is getting awfully heavy it was ridiculous to hold this thing we both like on these chairs in this sauna filled room and we finally get this darn thing wired up, praying that we didn't wire this thing wrong and burn down the house...

So I go down stairs and flip on all of the switches and she puts like one light bulb in and hides herself behind the counter like this thing is a bomb and I hesitated a little as I went for the switch and.....BOOM.....okay, nothing really happened, it works and looks great!
