A

Gonna try and blog more. Going to use the ABC's to blog with, maybe let people know more about us.

August. Skyler & I were married August 16, 2008! Our eight month anniversary! This year will be our 3 year anniversary!  :) Our little girl's name starts with an A, who is definitely an answer to our prayers. Oh ya, we already have her name picked out, had it picked out for quiet a while. When it popped into my head while I was driving months and months ago, we both just knew it was for her. I love being an aunt, Cadin is the best! Skyler is in the Army for only a few more months. He should be out  by April. Meaning he will be here for my birthday which is also in April.

That wasn't too bad. Hopefully I can keep up with this. I finally thought of this while laying awake late last night and early this morning. I'm pretty proud of myself :)

This Week

Not much is new here. I'm waiting for Skyler to get home so I decided to update my blogs. This one unfortunately doesn't have much to talk about. Other than the fact that I've decided that this is one very very long week. I don't get to see Skyler as much as I usually do. Stupid drill. He's gone Friday-Sunday for drill and works every other day but Tuesday, and Tuesday was revolved around school. This sucks. On the bright side we'll have extra money for baby stuff and date night, whenever that is. We really need to call Bethany & Jake, we HAVE to hang out. It's been too long. We also need to find some other couples to double/triple or whatever with.

Late X-Mas

So this post is quite a bit late, but I was looking through my phone and figured I'd better upload these pictures before I forgot.

Cadin had me save the pictures of this motorcycle at Ross to show Santa that he wanted them.

I should have taken a closer pictures, there were 10 years worth of ornaments on this tree, Steven, Cadin & I had so much fun putting them all on.

This is Cadin's new puppy Dakota "Train Tracks", he is a German Shepard, Husky mix.

And of course all the Christmas gift opening pictures. Skyler & I were not ready so no pictures were taken of us.

Skyler bought Little Miss & I a very special gift, he got us some beautiful pink pearls, I have the necklace and earrings and she has a bracelet to grow into. I'll have to take pictures of those soon.

Goodbye Primary.

Skyler and I are being released from the primary in 2 weeks. I can't believe how fast time has flown, it seems like we just started teaching, and now we're coming to the end. We were so lucky to have taught for 7 months. Our CTR 5 class last year was absolutely wonderful. We love those little kids so much, and know they'll go far in their lives.

We were lucky enough to have the bishop's handful granddaughter in our class, she was a sweet heart but had some terrible problems. My biggest worry was that the kids weren't learning anything. Today the Bishop told Skyler that after we had our lesson about the Second Coming, she went around the house for weeks asking him and his wife if she was doing the right things, because He's going to come sometime, no one knows when but He is and she wants to be prepared for it. That made every hard time in that class more than worth it.

I'm going to miss primary, but Skyler and I are also glad we won't be dealing with the 4 year olds much longer. The last 2 weeks he has had to teach alone, and said that with even half the class missing today he was ready to quit. Gotta love a class of 4 year olds. Can't wait to see what callings we'll be getting next time.

15 day update.

Guess it's time for a quick family update, as we are half way through January now. I should get better with blogging for the time being.

The past 15 days of the new year have been a whirl wind. On the first Skyler and I started our 10 week countdown to our little princess coming. Only to be met with the fact that she'll be here sooner than that. We ended up in good old Labor & Delivery on the 4th, and are now dealing with me being on bed rest for what looks like a total of 7 weeks, that is if my body decides to cooperate and hold little miss in till then. We have officially reached the 8 month mark. We're not too far off from her due date to begin with so bump sped time up more.

Skyler is getting closer to finishing up his degree, he has 4 more classes left. Only a month and a half and he's done.

Skyler and I got bumped down to teaching CTR 4, I was able to teach one class and he is on his own now till I get the okay from the Doc. The kids are rambunctious to say the least. There are 9 of them and they are a handful! But we know that this class is going to be a blessing, somehow, though we don't see it now. We are a couple weeks closer to going through the temple. It should have been this month, but with the way life is nothing ever happens when you think it will. We are more than excited to get closer and closer to this.

I think that is about all for the last 15 days, it's sure felt like a lot, but as I've been typing I've realized it isn't that much. Figures right?

Hope things are well with everyone.

2010 Recap

Our 2010 Family Letter....

Boy has this year gone by fast. Our lives are no where near what they were at the beginning of this year.

Skyler was working at Kroger until they had lay offs at the end of March, and started working at LYB (I believe its Looking Your Best-- but I can't remember) in August in their SEO (Search Engine Optimization) department. He absolutely loves his job there and they love him. He is now the head of the SEO team and is constantly bettering his skills. He will be graduating this coming February with his BA in Computer Science. In May Skyler and I decided that it would be best that he re-enlisted with the National Guard. Though that was a hard decision it has done nothing but benefit us. He is gone 1 weekend a month for drill -- he's paid for that, extra $ is always a bonus-- and the insurance has been a lifesaver!

In July after 18 long months we found out we were pregnant! Ignore the mess that I am, but this was taken right after I found out, unfortunately Skyler was driving to drill so I could only call and tell him.

This year I worked at Jackson Hewitt, Old Farm Market, and a daycare. I quit in August after a disagreement with the boss which worked out, I was and am still really sick with this pregnancy. I have been enjoying life at home relaxing and growing this baby, though at times when I feel decent for a minute I miss working/school.

October 28th, we found out that we were expecting a little princess!
(Just a couple weeks before finding out)

We started transforming her nursery...

With help from this little guy and his daddy...

I started decorating cakes for fun... Can't wait to get back to doing that...

Cadin turned 2 and Rachel turned 14 this last May

We went to St. George for a family Reunion

Skyler and I went to Bear Lake this November with my mom and dad.

We stayed at an amazing B&B. I seriously would drive up there every Sunday for breakfast if I could!

This year girls night was officially started too! I've loved the last few times we have gotten together and can't wait to get together again!

There is so many more pictures and stories that can be added but there isn't enough time I feel. This past year has been crazy for our little family. We are so glad we experienced it all though. Can't wait for this next year.

Bear Lake Trip!

Myself and this handsome guy...

went to Bear Lake with my mom and dad back in November.
We were so excited to finally get out of Davis County.

These two are the best double date couple ever, (breakfast at Village Inn) and I'm lucky to call them my parents.

We went for a drive around the lake. It was amazing!

We had dinner at this place :)

I had a very hot date :)

We both had some really yummy food.

And dessert was absolutely amazing!

I have a zillion more pictures but don't wanna load them all. We stayed at Snow Meadows, a wonderful Bed & Breakfast, played cards, video games, air hockey, watched movies, and had an amazing breakfast. Definitely sad to leave, but looking forward to going back hopefully this May for Rachel's birthday.
