Update!

I guess it's about time that I actually give a written update of life here. As you can see we've been pretty busy with the reunion and the birthdays and the family party last weekend. (Which reminds me I'll have to put the pictures that Uncle Mark got of Cadin & my dad up.) To say the least life has definitely been interesting and it'll be crazy to see how much life will change in the next year.

Skyler is still not working, he is going to be finished with school in January now. (They changed his class schedule around so it bumped it out till December or January I can't remember right now). He's finally starting to really enjoy programming! He is back in the National Guard, (he's at drill today.) and so far he's loving it, though today is his first drill so we'll see what happens Sunday when he gets back.

I still work at the daycare, and each day it gets better and better. Its so much fun to watch the kids grow and learn new things, the baby is walking, the 1 year old is starting to talk, the 3 year old is finally getting potty trained ( you'd think you'd start training them earlier, I mean come on when a kid is almost 4 and you're changing their butt that's just wrong). It's always great to go there (which again reminds me that I have pictures of the daycare to post too!). I'm still going to school but it looks as though I may need to take fall semester off, but for sure we've planned on Spring and Summer of next year! I'm getting closer and closer to being done!

(this cake had a hard time, I didn't have much time to work the fondant so it got all screwed up, but I think the idea is pretty cute maybe next time I'll have more patience and plan it out better)

Lately I've been decorating cakes to clear my mind, (and we also have a ton of birthdays to go to!). It works out perfect! It's always something I've wanted to try doing, and now I finally can! I was going to take a class with Skyler's sister and mom, but you know how that goes, it's always like sometime we'll have to do it, and it never happens, oh well I've got Google for that!  (Picture of JD's cake to come as soon as they're off my phone!)

Lisa's boyfriend J.D turned 19 on the 8th and all he wanted was a cake made of him, so after a zillion ideas Lisa finally chose Spongebob and let me go with it. I was actually surprised it turned out okay.

Skyler and I have been teaching the 5 year olds at church the last month, it's most definitely been a blessing to have that opportunity. We also have the missionaries coming over every Monday night, which strangely has been enjoyable too. We're getting ready to go through the temple (which reminds me we still need to choose one) hopefully within the next 6 months, (were just waiting on the temple prep class to start again so we can take it and go!). We're also so excited for Skyler to get the priesthood!!

So after many long talks and many years (2) of not wanting Skyler to do the military lifestyle, we've decided that we'll be going active duty next year. We decided that we need to get away from all the drama in Utah and experience life somewhere else just me, Scout, him and any kids that come while we're gone. We won't know where we'll end up for sure until it's chosen and we'll be far away from everyone but thats exactly what we need. We'll be gone for 4 years and in that time it is pretty much guaranteed that Skyler will be shipped away for at least 6 months. (let's hope we have at least one kid by the time that happens so I'm not completely alone!) It just feels right.

I feel like I just can't stick with the blogging thing. I was looking through some boxes and found tons of half filled journals. I really love to write and look back at what went on in my life it's just hard to keep up with this! Most days I don't have much to write about. ( I need some help! Give me ideas!!) Well it seems as though I've updated everything, I'll just have to come back later and throw some pictures in!

Hope all is well.
